Obama: First order of business

I can only hope Barack Obama will take time to reassure the world when he takes over as president.

“To all the nations of the world: I apologize.”

Re: Personal and slanderous attacks on Palin most despicable? Hmmm… I’d have to argue it’s more despicable to lie by calling someone a terrorist Muslim and friend of sex offenders, than what’s been lobbed at Palin.

No, the most despicable is the fact that the Obama campaign wants to take money from those who have earned it and give it to those who have not, or how about the personal and slanderous attacks on Palin? Or maybe the SNUFF PIECE that CNN placed on Sarah Palin?

It was a far different scene over at The National Review. When the founder's son, Christopher Buckley, endorsed Obama on The Daily Beast Web site, he resigned ahead of being forced off the back page of his father's magazine. As Buckley writes on The Daily Beast, "Within hours of my endorsement appearing in The Daily Beast it became clear that National Review had a serious problem on its hands. So the next morning, I thought the only decent thing to do would be to offer to resign my column there. This offer was accepted—rather briskly!—by Rich Lowry, NR’s editor, and its publisher, the superb and able and fine Jack Fowler. I retain the fondest feelings for the magazine that my father founded, but I will admit to a certain sadness that an act of publishing a reasoned argument for the opposition should result in acrimony and disavowal."

What a joke… Deborah Powell, ombudsman for The Washington Post, recently admitted the newspaper’s news coverage bias in favor of Barack Obama over John McCain by a factor of 3-to-1 in a story appearing online on the Post’s Web site. It is not so much news to anyone who has been paying attention, it is however refreshing that Ms. Powell was allowed to post such information and is apparently still alive and well as of this posting.

Powell described in great detail how the newspaper blatantly focused on Obama time and time again in recent months. There is some defense of the actions by WP staffers but it is largely laughable and borderline insulting to readers of the newspaper who didn’t have to be told this information nor be spoon fed a milquetoast justification. The WP bias is as evident as a bull in an antique shop.

Just another biased left-wing newspaper pretending to be a professional publication.

As I said, what a joke…
