One Choice: Obama

Why “One Choice”?

There has never been a more important election in the lives of most American voters. Our economy is in tatters. We’re involved in an unjustified war. Jobs are melting away and reappearing overseas. Our health care system is DOA. Unfunded mandates to leave no child behind are leaving school districts in financial straits with no marked improvement in the level of knowledge retained by grade and high school graduates.

As Sen. Barack Obama said succinctly in his acceptance of the Democratic Party’s nomination as their candidate for president, eight years of Bush/Cheney administration of this nation is ENOUGH!

After the uplifting eloquence of Obama’s speech on Aug. 28 the response has been more fear mongering and a faux response to those who wanted Sen. Hillary Clinton as the party’s candidate. Notice how little these people talk about the issues and focus on distractions that they think couch potato Americans will nod their heads to? It’s more of the dumbing down of America. It’s more of watching your basic citizen rights melt away under the guise of protecting you from the unknown.

America deserves better.
We need the Obama/Biden teamĀ
to change our course in January 2009!
