One Choice: Obama

This is what I hate about the McCain campaign

On Wednesday night, Joe the unlicensed plumber became a cause célèbre for John McCain. Why, he’d lose his chance at buying a business under Obama’s tax plan, he said. Two days later, McCain’s camp was blaming Obama for smearing Joe’s good name and ruining his privacy.
A friend of mine in Florida, however, sent me an email she got from the McCain camp on THURSDAY at 3:28 p.m. (though she’s asked to be removed from their list three times) that uses Joe the plumber unabashedly. See my comments added in red:

     Who is Joe the Plumber?
His name is Joe Wurzelbacher and he is a(n unlicensed) plumber from Ohio.  Last night in the Presidential Debate, Joe the Plumber became a symbol of the economic troubles crippling the United States.  Joe (the GOP plant) encountered Senator Obama while he was campaigning in Toledo, Ohio earlier this week.  Joe wants to buy the company he works for (so he says, but there’s no paperwork record of him doing so), but purchasing it would make him a target of the Democrat’s plan to tax the “wealthy.” (Why? According to records the business is worth maybe $100,000. It WOULD benefit from Obama’s plan.) Joe told Senator Obama about his frustrations with Obama’s plans to raise taxes on the “wealthy” and the Illinois senator replied that it was important to “spread the wealth around.”

     Spread the Wealth?
Yes, Senator Barack Obama said he wants to “spread the wealth around.”
That means that he wants to take Joe’s, and countless (not really, Obama’s plan would tax just 2 percent of small businesses) other small business owners’, hard earned money.  Senator Obama wants to raise their taxes so he can pay for his government mandated healthcare system and other big government programs.  He wants to punish (oh please, this is ridiculous!) small business owners who are successful and about to climb the next step on the economic ladder by spreading their “wealth.”

It’s No Surprise that Obama Wants to “Spread the Wealth Around”
It’s no surprise that Senator Obama wants to spread Joe the Plumbers “wealth.”  He voted for higher taxes 94 times (according to factcheck.org, this is a lie: ”We count 23 that would not have raised taxes at all, but were merely votes against tax cuts. Seven of them would have lowered taxes for many.”) in four years in the United States Senate.  And, he requested nearly $1 billion dollars of your money for wasteful pork barrel spending.  Imagine what he will do as the most powerful man in the United States.  Obama’s rhetoric sounds nice now, but it will feel like a painful sucker punch if he is elected and his plans to raise taxes are implemented.

Senator McCain will Fight for Every Joe the Plumber
John McCain consistently voted against tax increases and never once took a wasteful pork barrel project.  (According to PolitiFact.com: his 2006 legislation that asked for $10-million for an academic center at the University of Arizona to honor the late Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Or McCain’s 2003 effort to use federal funds to buy property to create a buffer zone around Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, or his 1992 request that the Environmental Protection Agency provide $5-million toward a wastewater project in Nogales, Ariz. Never say never, Sen. McCain.) As a result he was given an “A” rating by the National Taxpayers Union and has received awards from the Citizens Against Government Waste for being a good steward of taxpayer money.  John McCain wants to lower your taxes and reduce government spending and has the record to back up his rhetoric.

Every “Joe the Plumber” Must Fight Against Senator Obama Before It’s Too Late
If you are a small business owner and don’t want the government to spread your wealth, let us know.  Join our “Joe the Plumber” coalition (hope they’re paying this guy big bucks for this) by sending your story to FLJoethePlumber@JohnMcCain.com or by calling our “Joe the Plumber” hotline at 850-391-3304.  Tell us how raising taxes and “spreading the wealth around” will hurt your business.  It’s important we stop these (and today’s anti-Obama rhetoric buzzword is…) socialist -like plans to take your money and redistribute it.
