Mark Libbon of the Syracuse Post Standard wrote a story May 13, 2000, about John McCain’s friendship with a Syracuse University radical student leader David Ishfin. As with the case of Barack Obama and former Weather Underground member William Ayers, they became friends years after the radical crimes had been planned or committed.
So if it’s OK for McCain to befriend a former radical… hmmm. Double standard? You betcha!
