It was not a good day to be in the GOP camp on Friday.
First off, Reutersreports that the Alaskan ethics probe found Sarah Palin guilty of abusing her gubernatorial powers. In the case, Palin was accused of dismissing public safety commissioner Walt Monegan because he would not fire a state trooper who was “involved in a contentious divorce with the governor’s sister.” The probe found that it was not the only reason Monegan was fired, but it was definitely a contributing factor.
Out on the campaign trail, John McCain had trouble controlling the ever angrier crowds. Not once, but twice, he had to defend Barack Obama from crowd vitriol. According to RawStory.com,McCain told one man who said he was scared to bring a child up under an Obama presidency: “I have to tell you he is a decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States.” The crowd responded by booing McCain.
Lovely crowd you attract there, my friend.
