In her series on questions asked the vice presidential candidates, tonight Katie Couric asked what were the best and worst things that Dick Cheney has done in office. Here are their replies:
BEST THING CHENEY HAS DONE
Biden: He has the courage to stand up for his beliefs, even if it’s unpopular.
Palin: He’s supported the troops alongside President Bush.
WORST THING CHENEY HAS DONE
Biden: Showing callous disregard for the Constitution and advocating things such as torture.
Palin: Shooting that guy in the face while duck hunting.
The criticism heaped on Couric for scourging Palin with tough questions is ridiculous. It’s interesting to see what an experienced, intelligent answer can be. God help us if we fall victim to a Joe Six-pack administration.
