So true that Palin comes off as a parody of herself, outfeying Fey.  And bragging about not responding to the questions was downright arrogant, in the guise of &quot;cute/funny.&quot;

Here&#039;s my worry:  Remember when SNL first lampooned W, and how funny it was?  I had a nagging worry then, recurring now, that laughing at such people enhances our tolerance of them. As in, &quot;oh, that W! There he goes again.&quot;

I think the Republicans are savvy enough now to realize this.  Making Palin a self-caricature apparently endears her to the great American public.

Of course I&#039;ll be watching SNL this week all the same. Wish Biden were hosting...and wish Biden had been tougher on the wolf-killer.  Who told him he had to be so damned nice?</description>
