Barack Obama will not appear on tonight’s season debut SNL show. According to an ABC News report: “Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki explained, “In light of the unfolding crisis in Texas, Senator Obama has decided it is no longer appropriate to appear on Saturday Night Live tomorrow evening.”

Remember the GOP convention, when Gov. Sarah Palin said that her own son would be heading off to Iraq on Sept. 11? She painted a poignant picture of her oldest son Track enlisting a year ago on Sept. 11 and how this year he was willingly putting himself in harm’s way for his country, on that most sacred of anniversaries. Wasn’t a dry eye in the joint.
Guess what people? Wake up and smell the BS!
Yesterday Palin spoke before 4,000 troops including her son at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks. It was a moving deployment ceremony on that anniversary of anniversaries. But then Palin does something quizzical. “You’ll be there to defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried out and rejoiced in the deaths of thousands of Americans because America can never go back to that false sense of security before September 11, 2001,” she said. Uh, even Bush admits that was wrong now. But that’s not the worst of it, my friends. She lied. According to today’s Anchorage Daily News, “Private First Class Track Palin and his unit won’t actually ship overseas until later this month, according to military officials.” Keith Olbermann quoted a commander tonight who said something about the date being moved up for dramatic effect.
So, if this woman is willing to lie about the deployment of her son, what ISN’T she willing to lie about!!!
America deserves better than this!
